About Dhunseri Ventures Ltd Dhunseri Ventures Limited, established on May 11, 1961, is involved in treasury operations and trading of PET resin. Initially part of the tea industry, the firm expanded by acquiring multiple tea estates in Assam. Over the years, Dhunseri has undergone several restructurings and diversifications, notably into the petrochemical sector with the establishment of South Asian Petrochem Ltd. in collaboration with Lurgi Zimmer AG, Germany. This diversification led to the company's name change to Dhunseri Petrochem & Tea Ltd. in 2010.
Following further restructuring, including the demerger of its tea division and reorganization of its IT SEZ division, the PET resin business was transferred to Dhunseri Petglobal Limited in 2016. The company has also established a wholly-owned subsidiary, Dhunseri Poly Films Private Limited, for manufacturing polyester film (BOPET). The strategic divestment and reorganization efforts highlight Dhunseri's focus on optimizing its investment portfolio and expanding its footprint in the petrochemical industry.
