Dhoot Transmission Limited (formerly Dhoot Transmission Private Limited) was incorporated on April 28, 1998 in Mumbai under the Companies Act, 1956, and converted into a public limited company with its name changed to Dhoot Transmission Limited on December 4, 2025.
The company is one of the largest manufacturers of wiring harnesses for the two-wheeler (2W) and three-wheeler (3W) segments, with market presence in electrical automobile systems. It designs, engineers, manufactures and supplies wiring harnesses and related electrical systems that integrate components such as electronic sensors and controllers, switches, terminals, connectors, junction boxes, high-voltage interconnection systems and data cables, providing application-specific architectures across platforms.
Manufacturing expansion includes a new unit in Chennai established in FY16 and another unit set up in Manesar in 2018. The company serves both automotive and non-automotive applications for OEMs with strict performance, safety and reliability requirements, and manufactures wiring harnesses and electrical distribution systems for both internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles and electric vehicles (EV).
In FY19-20, it entered the EV division with a product line including cable chargers, connectors and plugs for electric vehicles. A charger production line with 3 million units annual capacity was commissioned in November 2024, and the company supplied 2.23 million chargers as of December 31, 2025. Beyond 2W and 3W, it also serves commercial vehicles (CV), off-highway vehicles (OHW), and farming and industrial parts end markets, and has filed a Draft Prospectus with SEBI for a planned IPO comprising an offer for sale of 16,310,733 equity shares (face value Rs 2) and a fresh issue targeting Rs 1,400 crore.
