About DCM Shriram Fine Chemicals Ltd DCM Shriram Fine Chemicals Limited, incorporated on September 29, 2021, operates in the chemical manufacturing industry, with a primary focus on the production and sale of chemicals, by-products, and contract manufacturing. Initially a wholly owned subsidiary of DCM Shriram Industries Limited, the company emerged as an independent entity following a demerger effective April 1, 2023, under a Composite Scheme of Arrangement. It issued 8.69 crore equity shares (face value of Rs 2 each) for listing purposes.
The company traces its roots back to the 1970s through DCM Shriram Industries Limited, pioneering chemical production at its facility in Daurala, Uttar Pradesh. Expertise in core technologies such as photochlorination of toluene and cyanation allowed the company to develop and produce value-added chemical products and their derivatives. Over the decades, it expanded its footprint in the fine chemicals sector, particularly in the pharmaceuticals domain, producing intermediates, including those for anti-infectives.
In 1994, DCM Shriram Industries established a separate company, Daurala Organics Limited, to produce high-value drug intermediates using advanced European technology. This entity was later merged back into DCM Shriram Industries, bolstering its position as a global leader in the production of pharmaceutical intermediates.
Following its demerger, DCM Shriram Fine Chemicals Limited continues to build on its legacy of innovation and technical expertise, offering value-driven chemical products in diverse markets. Its robust production capabilities and contract manufacturing services position it as a key player in the fine chemicals and pharmaceutical intermediates space.
