Despite early successes, Cybele faced financial difficulties, leading to a complete erosion of net worth by 2003, classifying it as a Potentially Sick Industrial Company.
A rehabilitation proposal was approved in 2009, culminating in the merger of Asia Cables, a firm with an established presence in the cables and conductors industry, into Cybele in 2010. The merger involved allocating equity shares to Asia Cables' partners, facilitating the integration of assets and liabilities. Cybele also engages in property development, diversifying its business portfolio beyond the cable manufacturing sector.
