Established in 1976 and going public four years later, the company operates major manufacturing facilities in Aurangabad and Shendra in Maharashtra, and Karjan in Gujarat, India. Cosmo First has a strong export presence since 1994 and has continually expanded its production capacity to meet growing demand, including a significant expansion project at Waluj.
The company has also undertaken strategic acquisitions, notably merging with Gujarat Propack Ltd in 2002, enhancing its BOPP production capacity significantly. Cosmo First has diversified its product offerings with numerous innovations in packaging, lamination, and industrial films, launching specialized and high-performance films across various categories. In recent years, it has ventured into new markets, including a step into the pet care industry with the launch of 'ZIGLY' in 2022.
