About Continental Controls Ltd Continental Controls Limited (CCL), established as a public limited company in March 1995, specializes in the manufacture of Thermal Overload Protectors. These protectors are essential components in various industries, including consumer electronics, domestic appliances, refrigeration, and engineering. The company, promoted by Navin Gordhandas Thakkar and family, commenced commercial production in 1996-97 from its Silvassa facility, utilizing technical expertise from Ingenieur-Buero Sarzaeim, Germany.
In 1999-2000, CCL diversified into software development, later absorbing Continental Softech Ltd in 2004, with a share swap ratio of 1:1. However, this software arm was demerged into Quest Softech (India) Ltd in 2008, following a court-approved scheme. CCL's strategic shifts highlight its adaptability in manufacturing and software, positioning it as a versatile player in both technological and industrial domains.
