About Citadel Realty & Developers Ltd Citadel Realty and Developers Limited, originally Rohit Pulp & Paper Mills Limited, is a construction and real estate development company, part of the Marathon Group since its acquisition in 2008. Established in 1960, the company focuses on residential real estate projects, including a notable Slum Rehabilitation Project in Bhandup, Mumbai. In collaboration with Shree Swami Smarth Builders, Citadel is engaged in developing this area.
The company has a history of diversifying into manufacturing secondary lead, alloys, and innovative paper production from agricultural waste, contributing to forest conservation efforts. Citadel has received multiple National Energy Conservation Awards and implemented energy-saving technologies, including wind turbine generators. Despite these achievements, financial challenges led to a proposal for rehabilitation, and the company transitioned away from being a subsidiary of Marathon Realty Pvt. Ltd. in 2019.
