As part of the Kalpataru Construction Group since 1983, the company specializes in manufacturing high-quality PVC films, both flexible and rigid, from its plants in Thane and Nashik, Maharashtra. It utilizes calendaring processes for PVC films and produces plastic extruded products.
The company has a technical collaboration with Germany's Renolt Werke and Dekorplatenwerk for its film and laminate products. Following a substantial capacity expansion in the early '90s, Caprihans has continued to upgrade its operations, including an expansion of its rigid film capacity and enhancements to its PVDC Coating Line. In 2010, Caprihans became part of the Bilcare Group, with a subsequent change in holding company to Bilcare Mauritius Limited in 2019. Recently, in 2023, the company acquired the Pharma Packaging Innovations division from Bilcare Limited, further solidifying its market position.
