About Capital Infra Trust National Infrastructure Trust, established on September 25, 2023, is a SEBI-registered infrastructure investment trust (InvIT) sponsored by Gawar Construction Limited (GCL). It operates under the SEBI InvIT Regulations, focusing on investments and activities tied to infrastructure development. The trust's registration as an InvIT was formalized on March 7, 2024. The Trust's core strategy revolves around leveraging the vast expertise and asset portfolio of its sponsor, GCL, to develop, operate, and maintain critical infrastructure assets. GCL, the sponsor of the Trust, is a seasoned infrastructure development and construction company in India with over 15 years of experience, specializing in road and highway projects. Since 2008, GCL has undertaken over 100 road construction projects across 19 Indian states. Notably, the company manages a portfolio of 26 road projects under the hybrid annuity mode (HAM) in collaboration with the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), comprising 11 completed projects and 15 currently under construction. This extensive experience reinforces the Trust's foundation in the infrastructure sector. The Trust is managed by Gawar Investment Manager Private Limited, incorporated in August 2023, while Axis Trustee Services Limited acts as the sole Trustee. GCL also serves as the Project Manager for its respective Project SPVs, ensuring streamlined project execution and management. This structure ensures operational synergies and efficiency across the Trust's projects, driven by the expertise of its sponsor. To fuel its growth and investments, the Trust is planning an IPO to raise Rs. 1600 Crores. This includes a fresh issue of Rs. 1200 Crores and Rs. 400 Crores through an Offer for Sale. The capital will enable the Trust to expand its asset base and sustain its strategic focus on infrastructure development, catering to India's growing infrastructure demands.
