About Bharat Agri Fert & Realty Ltd Bharat Agri Fert & Realty Ltd, initially incorporated in 1959 as a private entity and transitioning to a public company in 1963, operates in the construction and development of residential and commercial complexes, fertilizer manufacturing, and resort management. The company, originally Bharat Fertiliser Industries, expanded its operations by merging with Patel Packaging Industries in 1994 to reduce costs and enhance production capacity, specifically in HDPE woven sacks.
The company has a long-standing presence in the fertilizer industry, having established a granulated NPK fertilizer unit and a single super phosphate (SSP) production facility in the 1960s. Despite a setback in the early 2000s due to economic recession, Bharat Agri revitalized its SSP/GSSP fertilizer plants in 2010-11 and entered strategic marketing arrangements with Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals and Indian Potash Limited. In 2015-16, Bharat Agri expanded its portfolio by acquiring a 26% stake in MOL CHEM Limited, strengthening its position in the chemical sector.
