About Bhagawati Oxygen Ltd Bhagawati Oxygen Ltd, established in 1972 by R R Sharma, S K Sharma, and the late B P Bhardwaj, specializes in industrial gas manufacturing and engineering. The company focuses on the production and quality control of Cryogenic and VPSA Air Separation Plants and Systems. Bhagawati Oxygen made significant strides by installing India's first indigenous Cryogenic Air Separation Plant near Kolkata and pioneering oxygen use in copper industry air enrichment.
The company operates a fleet of cryogenic transport tanks for efficient liquefied gas distribution nationwide. In collaboration with Taiyo Nippon Sanso Corporation, a VPSA plant was set up in Jharkhand in 1992. Diversifying into renewable energy, Bhagawati Oxygen installed a wind farm in South India in 2007. The company has a plant in Ghatsila, Bihar, with a 25 tpd capacity, and another in Haryana, though the latter was suspended in 1993-94. Their performance was notably impacted in 1995-96 due to the shutdown of Hindustan Copper, a key customer.
