About Bhagawati Gas Ltd Bhagwati Gas Limited (BGL), founded in 1994, began operations by supplying liquid oxygen to Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL) for its copper smelter operations. To address growing demand, the company set up its first oxygen plant in 1988 at Khetrinagar, Rajasthan, using advanced technology from Hitachi, Japan, followed by expansion in 1995 with a larger facility sourced from Air Liquide, France. BGL established itself as a reliable supplier of various industrial and medical gases, including liquid oxygen, nitrogen, and argon, which are delivered in bulk using Vacuum Insulated Transport Tanks (VITTs).
Over the years, BGL diversified its business beyond gas manufacturing. It partnered with Air Liquide North India Pvt. Ltd. to market surplus gases and collaborated internationally to explore opportunities in seismic surveys for hydrocarbon detection. Despite setbacks such as plant closures linked to HCL’s operational halts, BGL continued to evolve. In 2008, the company commissioned an upgraded gas plant in Khetrinagar, demonstrating its resilience and commitment to innovation.
Beyond industrial gases, BGL has expanded into multiple domains, including manufacturing, wastewater treatment, renewable energy, contracting, and international trading. Its manufacturing division produces atmospheric industrial gases, FRP pipes, and composite products. The company has a notable presence in the wastewater treatment sector, leveraging its three decades of expertise in bioremediation to restore polluted water bodies and treat industrial wastewater across diverse sectors like chemicals, textiles, and pharmaceuticals.
In 2024, BGL further strengthened its portfolio by partnering with a Korean firm to market medical oxygen plants in India, marking significant growth in the healthcare sector. With its multi-sector expertise and established track record, BGL represents a diversified and innovative enterprise with strong prospects for traders and investors interested in industrial manufacturing, environmental solutions, and healthcare expansion.
