Behari Lal Engineering Limited (formerly Behari Lal Ispat Private Limited) was incorporated on May 23, 1995 in Punjab and later renamed Behari Lal Engineering Private Limited on September 4, 2024. It converted into a public limited company as Behari Lal Engineering Limited on September 21, 2024.
The company is an integrated iron and steel manufacturer focused on customized engineering solutions. Its precision-engineered products include metal rolls, engineering castings, alloy steel products, forging ingots, and forged shafts/blocks. It currently manufactures and trades iron and steel products such as ingots, steel castings, metal rolls, and alloy/non-alloy round, flat, hex, and square products, serving industries including automobile, steel, mining, infrastructure and construction, power, aerospace and defence, cement, and sugar.
Operationally, the company began steel ingot production in 2012 and expanded into forging, metal rolls, and steel casting with a Plant I machine shop in 2014. It added vacuum degassing in 2015 for non-alloy steel rounds, commissioned a No Bake Sand System in 2017, installed an induction melting furnace in 2019, and added its first CNC lathe in 2020. It made its first export (steel casting to Finland) in 2021 and continued capacity additions with a shot blast machine (FY21–22), a heat treatment furnace (2023), a 12 MT melting furnace (2024), a 150 MT heat treatment furnace (FY2025), and an elemental analyser (2025), all at Manufacturing Facility/Plant I.
The company is planning an IPO comprising a fresh issue of equity shares aggregating Rs 100 crore and an offer for sale of 7,854,521 equity shares (face value Rs 10 each). Founded 1995
