About Balaji Phosphates Ltd **Balaji Phosphates Limited** is a Madhya Pradesh-based company specializing in the production of phosphate fertilizers such as Single Super Phosphate (SSP), Zinc Sulphate, and NPK Granulated & Mixed Fertilizers. Initially incorporated as Balaji Phosphates Private Limited in 1996 and converted into a public limited company in September 2023, the company underwent a significant ownership transition in 2014, with current promoters Mr. Mohit Airen and Mr. Alok Gupta taking control. Its manufacturing facility in Dewas, Madhya Pradesh, has an annual production capacity of 120,000 MTPA for SSP, 3,300 MTPA for Zinc Sulphate, and 49,500 MTPA for NPK fertilizers. The company’s products cater primarily to agricultural markets and are sold under the brands 'RATNAM' and 'BPPL.' The fertilizers are designed to address common nutrient deficiencies in soils, such as phosphorus and zinc, and to enhance crop growth and productivity for farmers in states like Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh. Balaji Phosphates also aligns with the Government of India’s initiative to deliver value-added fertilizers by offering fortified SSP with zinc and boron. Key raw materials for the company's operations include Rock Phosphate and Sulphuric Acid. Rock Phosphate, the cornerstone for SSP production, is sourced as Crushed Rock Phosphate (CRP) from international markets like Jordan, Morocco, and Egypt, and as Beneficiated Rock Phosphate (BRP) locally. Sulphuric Acid is procured within Madhya Pradesh. The company is preparing for an Initial Public Offering (IPO) by issuing 71,60,000 equity shares of ₹10 each, including a fresh issue of 59,40,800 shares and an offer for sale of 12,19,200 shares. This offering aims to support Balaji Phosphates’ growth initiatives and strengthen its position in India’s fertilizer market.
