About Bal Pharma Ltd Bal Pharma Ltd, part of the Mcro Laboratories Group, was established in 1987 and is a prominent player in the pharmaceutical industry, specializing in manufacturing and marketing a wide range of pharmaceutical formulations including paracetamol, aluminium hydroxide, and more. Over the years, the company has expanded its product portfolio to include cardiac specialties and various ethical division products. In 2009, Bal Pharma commenced operations at its new Formulation Plant in Uttarakhand and initiated several strategic expansions and acquisitions, such as acquiring Golden Drugs Private Ltd in 2017-18.
The company has also ventured into healthcare through its subsidiary, Balance Clinics LLP, and established Lifezen Healthcare Pvt Ltd. Bal Pharma is focusing on enhancing its production capabilities, evidenced by constructing a fully integrated API unit with a capacity of 270 metric tonnes and setting up a bulk drug manufacturing unit in Karnataka. In 2023, it launched Sitagliptin under the brand names SITABEND and SITABEND-M, expanding its offerings in diabetes care. With strategic expansions and a diverse product line, Bal Pharma aims to strengthen its position in the pharmaceutical sector.
