About B & A Ltd B & A Ltd, originally established as Barasali Tea Company Pvt Ltd in 1915, has significantly expanded its operations over the years. Initially producing 2.5 lakh kg of tea, the company now yields over 2 million kg following strategic mergers and acquisitions of tea estates like Salkathoni, Sangsua, and Gatoonga. Specializing in the cultivation, manufacture, and sale of tea, B & A Ltd exports to the UK and other European markets.
The company has broadened its scope with the acquisition of the Lohpohia Tea Estate and the amalgamation of Kuhum Tea Company Pvt Ltd, bringing its total to eight tea gardens with an expected production of 45 lakh kg. B & A Ltd has also seen significant growth in its packaging division, increasing its stake in B&A Muitiwail Packaging Ltd to 71.64% after absorbing subsidiaries BAPIL Investments Ltd and Jorhat Investments Ltd.
