About Astal Laboratories Ltd Macro International Limited, initially known as Macro (International) Exports Limited, was established in August 1993 by the Parasrampuria business group in Kanpur. The company launched a departmental store at Plaza Kalpana, Birhana Road, Kanpur, specializing in diverse products such as readymade garments, electronics, leather items, stationery, books, and also included a fast-food center. By 1996-97, the store continued to operate successfully, focusing on its Saree and Archies Card divisions.
Additionally, Macro International expanded into manufacturing leather goods at its facility in Village Goddhroli, District Fatehpur. The leather unit produces a variety of harness and saddlery products including bridles, halters, girths, martingales, stirrup leathers, leather reins, brow bands, and saddles. This diversification into leather manufacturing complements its retail operations, providing a broad product offering in both the retail and manufacturing sectors.
