Anawil Wire & Engineering Limited was incorporated on January 2, 2021 as a private limited company and later converted into a public limited company, changing its name to “Anawil Wire and Engineering Limited” on March 11, 2025.
The company manufactures windmill (wind turbine) towers, focusing on fabrication of heavy and precision steel components customized for wind energy sector requirements. Towers are typically tubular steel structures made of multiple cylindrical sections; a typical tower is around 140 meters in height and is produced in multiple sections (commonly five) to enable road transportation to project sites, while being designed to withstand varied climatic conditions.
It operates a manufacturing facility in Koppal, Karnataka, with an annual capacity of 300 towers (also stated as 25 towers per month) and is in the process of expanding this facility. To further increase production capacity, it has also commenced construction of a new manufacturing facility in Kutch, Gujarat.
Commercial operations began in April 2021 with weldmesh fabrication and assembly of boiler accessories and paper machinery parts. Leveraging its steel fabrication capabilities, the company started manufacturing windmill towers in 2023 and has since focused on fabrication components for wind turbine towers. Key inputs include mild steel plates, along with consumables and equipment such as shots and grits, paint, welding rods, electric plasma power sources, oxy-fuel stations, and grinding wheels. The company is planning an IPO of 65,84,000 equity shares (face value Rs 10), comprising a fresh issue of 52,84,000 shares and an offer for sale of 13,00,000 shares.
