Initially focused on financial services, the company shifted its operations in 1998 to trading, export, and import, predominantly in agriculture and cotton seed trading. Promoted by V P Goyal and Suresh Mittal, Alfavision also ventured into leasing heavy vehicles and machinery for various industries, including cotton processing and pharmaceuticals, following a public issue in 1995 to bolster its capital and resources. Although it previously operated through its subsidiary, Alfavision Fibres Pvt. Ltd., this subsidiary ceased operations as of May 31, 2023. Alfavision's change in focus reflects its strategic pivot to agriculture and trading, aiming to leverage growth opportunities in these sectors.
