About Agio Paper & Industries Ltd Agio Paper & Industries Ltd, originally incorporated as Kanoi Paper & Industries Ltd in 1984, is a prominent manufacturer of writing and printing paper based in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, India. The company, which underwent several name changes, was originally promoted by J.P. Kanoi and later saw a management change in 2003 when M.L. Jalan and Arrow Syntex Pvt Ltd acquired a 49% equity stake. Agio Paper specializes in producing paper from agro-residue and waste materials like rice straw and jute waste, boasting an installed capacity of 15,500 TPA.
The company has continually modernized its operations, including a significant upgrade funded by a rights issue in the mid-1990s. This upgrade enhanced its capabilities to produce high-grade printing and writing paper. In 2008-09, Agio Paper expanded its infrastructure with a 4MW co-generation power plant and increased its production capacity to 18,000 MT annually by installing a second paper machine in 2011. These strategic developments have positioned Agio Paper as a key player in the paper manufacturing industry.
