Adhinath Textiles Ltd, established in 1979 by the Oswal Group in Ludhiana, specializes in the production of synthetic and wool-blended yarns marketed under the Adinath brand. With a focus on spinning worsted and spun yarn, the company operates a manufacturing facility in Ludhiana, Punjab, equipped with advanced machinery from Italy and France. Initially, the company expanded its capacity with significant investments in the 1980s, including adding 6000 worsted spindles by March 1990.
As the acrylic yarn market became less profitable, Adhinath Textiles shifted its focus towards polyester wool, pure wool, and polyester viscose yarns for worsted suitings. Despite challenges in the acrylic yarn industry, such as increased raw material costs and economic factors affecting margins, the company has continued to enhance its production and export activities. In 1995-96, it earned Rs 5 crore in foreign exchange, although profitability remained a challenge. The company also has a manufacturing presence at the Nandesari site since 2003.
