About Schloss Bangalore Ltd Schloss Bangalore Limited, established on March 20, 2019, and headquartered in New Delhi, is India’s only institutionally owned and managed luxury hospitality company. Originally incorporated as a private limited company, it transitioned to a public limited entity on July 3, 2024. The company owns, operates, manages, and develops luxury properties under "The Leela" brand, a renowned name in Indian hospitality founded in 1986 by Captain C.P. Krishnan Nair. The company’s portfolio comprises The Leela Palaces, The Leela Hotels, and The Leela Resorts, all of which are built as “modern palaces.” Its owned properties include five iconic hotels in major Indian cities like Bengaluru, Chennai, and New Delhi, which are celebrated for blending traditional Indian architecture with contemporary luxury and world-class amenities. These properties serve as hospitality landmarks and face limited competitive pressures due to high entry barriers in prime locations. Schloss Bangalore operates under two business models—direct ownership of luxury hotels and hotel management agreements with third-party owners. Beyond accommodations, its properties offer a luxury ecosystem featuring curated experiences, wellness programs, and award-winning dining options. The company has expanded its assets through significant acquisitions, including Galleria at The Leela Palace Bengaluru in 2021 and a 50% stake in Tulsi Palace Resort Private Limited (TPRPL) in 2023. Schloss Bangalore is planning an IPO to raise Rs 5,000 crore, comprising a fresh issue of Rs 3,000 crore and an offer for sale worth Rs 2,000 crore. This capital raise reflects the company’s ambitions to consolidate its position as a market leader in the Indian luxury hospitality sector while driving future growth and expansions.
