About IVP Ltd IVP Limited, established in 1929, is a diversified manufacturer in India, initially recognized as Indian Vegetable Products. It pioneered the production of vanaspati in the 1930s and has since expanded into various sectors, including foundry chemicals, industrial ceramics, spark plugs, and plasticisers. The company marked its entry into foundry chemicals in 1964, collaborating with Ashland Inc to become the first Indian manufacturer in this field. In 1978, IVP diversified into industrial ceramics, partnering with German company Fedmuhle Akg, and spark plugs, collaborating with Italy's Industrie Magneti Marelli. IVP's export footprint spans several countries, including the US, UK, and Germany. In 2007, it sold its Ceramics Division and has since focused on modernizing and expanding its facilities, such as the Tarapur and Bangalore plants. Recent developments include a new coating plant and a Shell Resin Plant at Tarapur, along with the introduction of a new polyurethane product. The company has undergone strategic asset sales and capacity enhancements to streamline operations and drive growth.
