About Ecoplast Ltd Ecoplast Limited, established in 1981, is a prominent Indian supplier specializing in multilayer co-extruded polyethylene and copolymer films, serving the flexible packaging industry and various industrial applications globally. The company focuses on high-value products for specialty applications, including films for aluminum composite panels, surface protection, and packaging for FMCG and pharmaceuticals. Initially promoted by Pheroze P Kharas, Ecoplast became a public limited company in 1994, expanding its multilayer film capacity significantly over the years.
The company has played a pivotal role in developing India's flexible packaging industry by producing films that form the critical heat seal layer in laminates, essential for ensuring product shelf life. Ecoplast expanded its production capabilities with notable investments, including a new blown film line in 2003-04 and increasing its high-value product capacity in 2016-17. It also holds a 100% stake in Synergy Films Private Limited, which became its wholly-owned subsidiary in 2013.
