Originally incorporated as Hitkari Polyfilms Private Limited in 2005, the company underwent a series of rebrandings before becoming a public limited company in February 2024. It operates multiple manufacturing units in Himachal Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh with in-house capabilities ranging from design to packaging.
The company expanded its operations steadily since its inception, setting up a second manufacturing unit in 2008 with an initial capacity of 950 MT per annum to produce PVC shrink sleeves. This was followed by the establishment of another facility in Himachal Pradesh to manufacture plastic films and pouches. By 2011-12, the installed capacity for its Unit-II operations grew to 3,000 MT annually, reflecting heavy investment in production capabilities for pouches, laminates, and PVC shrink sleeves.
Barflex Polyfilms has positioned itself as a versatile player in the flexible packaging sector, supplying essential materials to a broad spectrum of fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and industrial products. Its core value proposition lies in vertically integrated manufacturing processes, enabling cost efficiency and quality control.
To fuel future growth, the company is planning to launch an initial public offering (IPO), comprising a fresh issue of 20,53,000 equity shares and an offer for sale of 45,16,875 equity shares, totaling 65,69,875 shares. This capital infusion will support the company’s strategic expansion and operational needs, potentially strengthening its position in the competitive packaging industry.
