About Amit International Ltd Amit International, established as a public limited company in 1994, initially took over Amit Exports and Minal Exports, which had been manufacturing cotton sports socks since 1988. Promoted by the Doshi family, the company focuses on understanding and communicating customer needs to suppliers, emphasizing high technical standards and market awareness. Amit International serves industries including dyes, agro-chemicals, water treatment, construction chemicals, textiles, and oil-field chemicals.
In 1995, the company expanded its manufacturing capacity for cotton sports socks significantly through a public issue, increasing production from 2.10 to 8.40 lakh dozen pairs annually at its Silvassa plant. Amit International briefly ventured into the U.S. market with a wholly-owned subsidiary, Rimmel Rogers Inc., which was established to deal in hosiery products but ceased to be a subsidiary in 2005-06. The company's strategic focus on industry-specific chemicals and textiles positions it as a versatile player in the manufacturing sector.
